Blanke AQUA SHIELD is a thin waterproofing fabric that can be applied with thin-set mortar to dry, flat, and structurally sound surfaces. Tile can be installed immediately on fabric without the cure time required for liquid-applied products. In addition to waterproofing, the Blanke AQUA SHIELD forms a vapor barrier, making it ideal for steam rooms and saunas. A wide range of convenient accessories is available, such as the Blanke AQUA CORN-I and CORN-A for corners, BLANKE AQUA SA, a self-adhesive tape for a quick, convenient taping of seams, and the BLANKE AQUA SEAL, a waterproof polymer adhesive for sealing seams and preformed corners.

Instructions for Installing Blanke Aqua Shield Outside Corner
The substrate must be clean, flat, dry, and load-bearing. Priming the substrate is recommended
Treat drains, pipe surrounds, corners, wall-to-wall connections, and wall-to-floor connections first per directions given in BLANKE AQUA SHIELD Installation Instructions
Apply the thin-set to the substrate by using a 1/4” x 3/16” V-notched trowel
Press BLANKE AQUA CORN A into the thin-set by using the flat side of the trowel, ensuring 100% contact with the substrate
Make sure to press out any air pockets
In applications subjected to constant and highly moist conditions, use BLANKE AQUA SEAL waterproofing adhesive to seal the overlapped seams.
Flatten out any excess BLANKE AQUA SEAL at the connections of corners and bands
Suitable Substrates for Bonding:
Plywood, drywall, backer board, cement
