The jaws open up to 2-1/4″ wide and are lined with tough rubber that will not scratch precious metals. The clamp opens up to 2-1/8″ wide to fit any bench or table. The ball and socket configuration allows the jaws to be tilted and rotate 360 degrees as the jaws hold firmly in place at any angle.
