General Equipment Company Bor-Max Auger Bits are heat treated alloy steel capable of digging holes up to 30 inches deep without an extension. Offers excellent digging performance for small, hand-held type earth auger products when drilling through unconsolidated soil classifications such as loams, sands, soft clays and granular rubbles.

Standard 30 inch (760mm) effective auger digging length without extension
The plain shaft-type auger extension can be used with all augers and increases the digging depth by 15 inches (381mm) making all bits capable of digging a 45 inch hole (1143mm)
Heavy-walled axle to better withstand bending and torque loads
Heavy-gauged helicoid flighting for added structural strength
Cupped flighting produces cleaner holes with less spill back
The flighting pitch also minimizes the power required and maximizes the amount of soil removed from the hole
Cast steel boring head for maximum strength and service life
Cutting blade side clearance extends out past the flighting to minimize flighting wear and extend service life
