The unique patent pending design of STRATA MAT provides for an enhanced mechanical bond of the adhesive mortar and provides for faster drying of the mortar, allowing for a shorter time to grout

Is the Laticrete Strata mat waterproof?
STRATA_MAT™ is not intended for use as a waterproofing membrane. It is not for worn surfaces; it must be covered with tile. Adhesives/mastics, mortars, and grouts for ceramic tile, pavers, brick, and stone are not replacements for waterproofing membranes.
What is the strata mat used for?
STRATA_MAT™ XT is designed specifically for ceramic tile and dimension stone installations. It serves as an uncoupling layer and vapor management layer, accommodating moisture from beneath the tile covering.
