The Makita cordless work light features a dust and water-resistant construction and is powered by 40 Volt XGT as well as 18 Volt LXT batteries. Three operating modes of the light delivers three separate brightness levels such as 10,000 Lumens on high mode, 4000 Lumens on medium mode and 2000 Lumens on low mode. LED light of produces more contrast and brightness compared to the halogen bulbs. This work light can be placed individually, on a tripod stand or with two other work lights. Knobs are provided to allow the user to direct the light at the required angle and the foldable handle makes it easy to carry. XGT battery provides up to 15 hours of runtime low mode and 3.5 hours of runtime in high mode. Backup voltage supply is provided by the 18 Volt LXT batteries in case the XGT battery is depleted. XGT technology prevents overheating, over-discharging and overheating and sustains the operating power in heavy load applications. Multi-layer contact interface meets the rigorous use of the jobsites the sturdy rails safeguards the battery from heavy impacts. Dual fan design of the charger keeps the air flow constant to the batteries to enhance the charging levels. The charger makes use of a built-in chip to constantly communicate with the battery to monitor the voltage, current and temperature. Digital display indicates the charge level of the battery.
